Monroe Environmental Honors Mike Mohn on His Retirement

Monroe, MI – Today, Monroe Environmental honored Welding Quality Inspector Mike Mohn with a retirement luncheon celebrating his seven years of service with the company and his decades-long dedication to welding education and workforce development.

While Mike is retiring from his full-time position at Monroe Environmental, he has no plans to slow down anytime soon. He will continue working with Monroe Environmental on a consulting basis, sharing his extensive knowledge and experience with the company and its customers.

In addition to his work at Monroe Environmental, Mike has served as a part-time instructor at Monroe County Community College since 1993. Over the years, he has taught welding metallurgy, welding symbols and print reading, and skilled trades curriculum, helping prepare countless students for careers in the welding and manufacturing industries.

Mike is also deeply involved in mentoring the next generation through the Team Virus: 3547 Robotics program in the Monroe County area. Through the program, he works with students ranging from kindergarten through college age, encouraging interest in robotics and engineering.

Looking ahead, Mike plans to devote additional time to a side business he has been developing focused on publishing curriculum materials for welding symbols and print reading for community colleges throughout the country.
