Monroe Environmental provided a 40-ft. diameter Clarifier Thickener for a new permanent WWTP at a USA mine harvesting precious minerals. Monroe's engineers worked closely with the EPC firm to refine the system design to meet specifications and site process requirements.

Scope of Supply included:

• Welded steel tank with integral leg set for ease of access to sludge cone and underflow piping
• Flocculation tank with mixer for pre-conditioning of process stream to improve solids settling
• Inlet feed well for energy dissipation and flow distribution
• Heavy duty sludge rakes with pickets to enhance sludge thickening
• High torque drive mechanism with transducer for remote monitoring
• Surface skimmer and with scum beach, baffle, and integral flushing mechanism
• Bridge and access platform with spiral staircase to grade for mechanism/drive support and operator access
• NEMA 4X Control Panel for system operation and monitoring

The system was rated for 300 GPM with a hydraulic maximum of 800 GPM.
