Sulfur dioxide (SO2) is common in flue gasses from many combustion processes. Typically, Monroe Environmental will provide a Quench Tower in a high temperature application such as this before a vertical counter-flow Packed Tower Scrubber.
A steel fabrication facility used a sandblast material that would pulverize upon contact with the metal surface and create thousands of fine dust particles that would cloudy the air and fill their paint shop bay. Monroe designed and installed a 6,000 CFM Cartridge Dust Collector to capture the exhaust and filter smoke, fumes, and dust.
