The MONROE Vertical Packed Tower Wet
Fume Scrubber and the MONROE
Horizontal Packed Bed Wet Fume Scrubber are sized for each
application to provide high efficiency, low cost gas cleaning.
Monroe Environmental will evaluate fume removal requirements and
determine optimum design parameters for each installation.
The packing media is uniquely shaped
to provide adequate surface area and a high number of small
impact passages to enhance air scrubbing. The resultant
effect is a high scrubbing efficiency, allowing optimum
packing section length with more compact design and lower
pressure drop.
Several configurations and options are
offered for both units. Multiple units, vertical and horizontal
models, special materials, and integration into complete
environmental control systems are all available. Special
chemical treatment and neutralizing options are also available
when required.

Efficient Design
The Monroe Vertical Packed Tower Wet Fume Scrubber is a counter-current
unit custom designed to meet or exceed the specific removal efficiency
required. Of significant importance to the performance of any packed
tower scrubber is the proper engineering for each application. Monroe

to meet specific applications.
